When we were younger, my sister & I always looked forward to decorating Christmas cookies at my Aunt Debbie's house. It is a fond Christmas memory and a tradition I wanted to carry on in my own family. This year, Rylee's Grandmas, Auntie & G-Ma got together to decorate!
We had a blast chatting and sharing old family stories together! Rylee took a brief nap, but was still able to get in some decorating and lovin'!!
PS Check out the ADORABLE apron my mom whipped up for Rylee!!

Chase Me!: December 21, 2010
Rylee loves to get chased. Whether it's up the stairs or down the hall, she crawls her fastest when she knows we're coming after her. When she's trying to crawl really fast, she tucks her little chin as close to her chest as possible. And every few feet she stops, turns around and laughs hysterically. Here are a few pictures we took chasing her!

Our Little Driver: November 30, 2010
Over the weekend we went shopping at Lowe’s to stock up on Christmas lights. They had these really cute shopping carts with toy cars on the front so I begged Ryan to get one so rylee (or I!) could be entertained. Well navigating that diesel through a sea of Christmas shoppers was pretty close to impossible, so it only lasted a few minutes. But, it was just enough time for me to get a few pictures of our little driver!!
PS That last picture is her waving. For a while she would wave at herself, but now she’s got the whole “waving at other people” thing down. This morning when we were at Starbucks, she waved at the same man for an entire 5 minutes while we stood in line. Slightly embarrassing, but absolutely adorable. Ahhh.

Picture Day!
A while back, when I dropped Rylee off at school, her teachers informed me it was Picture Day! This wasn't exactly how I had imagined her first picture day. I thought she'd have some hair I could curl and put in pigtails, maybe dab a little hairspray in. I certainly thought she would have more than just two teeth, but that's fine too. Needless to say, no one told me it was picture day until our little model got dropped off that morning. But, I suppose I didn't need to waste anytime finding the perfect outfit for her to wear anyway. A hot pink t-shirt with a flowery peace sign did just fine. :)
I had to scan these in, so the coloring is horrible but Rylee still looks just as sweet!

Our Little Snow Bunny
We had the opportunity to go to Big Bear over the weekend and had a blast! We were so happy to get snow! Nothing says winter like snow covered trees and hills and of course we loved seeing Rylee witness snow for the first time. She wasn't big on the texture, but didn't seem to mind the chill. Here are a few pictures from our weekend! A friend of Steff's made us all matching beanies so of course we had to take a picture.

Uh Oh: November 23, 2010
So can you tell Rylee is keeping us busy? I can't believe how long its been since I've updated this blog! So much has happend and I have tons of pictures to upload.
Rylee's new word is "Uh Oh". It started out with her just imitating us, but now she throws her toys and yells "Uh Oh!". She drinks out of a straw and she eats a lot of table food now. The best thing of all that Rylee has learned is to hug- there isn't anything like it in the world.
Ryan had a flag football tournament last weekend and grandpa snapped some pictures for us! enjoy...

No longer a wearer of many hats: Nov 1, 2010
Do you remember this? Everytime Rylee wears a hat, I can't help but think of that post and laugh. She used to sleep through all her hat changes! Now she can't stand having anything on her head. She was kind enough to let me snap a few shots in her newsboy cap :)
