oh.my.gosh. Those are the only words that come to my mind when I think of Rylee being only one week away from her 7-month birthday. She has brought such immense joy to our lives and while I know she always will, I only wish time would slow down and we could savor this moment just a little longer. Remember when she couldn't hold her head up and screamed like crazy the second she had a wet diaper? Now she does push ups! I'm serious, look at the pictures below. Our little don't-you-dare-set-me-down-or-i'll-make-you-pay girl is now pumping iron on the couch. how did this ever happen?

Daddy's Little One: August 26, 2010

Even before Rylee was born, I got a ton of comments about how much her profile looked like mine. And since she's been born, not a day goes by that someone doesn't tell me how much she looks like me. But earlier this week I snapped a few photos of her, and there is no denying that she is starting to take after Ryan. Some of these pictures have such a striking resemblance to his baby pictures, I can't believe it.

rock n' roll rylee girl: August 14, 2010

Rylee is quite the mover nowadays. Long gone are the days we could lie her on our bed while we brushed our teeth or sit her on the couch while we picked up around the house. This girl can steam roll like nobody's business!

Recently she learned how to extend her arms straight while on her tummy. She used to not be strong enough and could only hold herself up on her elbows. But now that she's got the whole straight arm thing down, she thinks she's hot stuff. She gets up on her hands with her little butt in the air and just rocks back and forth. It's her favorite position and she'd probably sit and rock back and forth all day long if we let her. I fear that crawling isn't far off...

Happy Half Birthday Rylee B!!! August 5, 2010

Our little Rylee B is 6 months old today. Time is flying by and each day Ryan and I learn something new about our little sweet thing. This week has been jam packed with newness!! Early this week Rylee started rolling from her back to her stomach. It only took her a few times to master it and now she rolls around all over the place! She has become super aware of all her surrondings. Our car rides now consist of her staring out the window and chattering away. Forget about eating if the dogs are around or their is any type of noise in the house- she'd rather check out that stuff than eat! Rylee loves to jump and bounces her legs up and down every chance she gets and she has suddenly decided she loves climbing. The jumping and climbing makes holding onto her a little more tricky!! I know crawling won't be too far off.

We hung out in the backyard a little bit today to celebrate rylee girl's big day since she is such a big fan of the outdoors.
